Today is my actual ninth birthday… and it’s soooo boring. All we’ve done is drive, drive, drive… and then do some laundry. Yep, that’s it. Just driving and laundry. Woo-hoo. 😒

But… I guess I can’t complain too much because we started celebrating five days ago! 🎉 It all began with a visit to SlooMoo in Chicago. Have you ever heard of it?! If not, it’s this awesome place where you can touch slime, play with slime, make slime, step in slime, dance in slime, smell slime, watch slime, and even be the slime! You can even take a slime shower if you want. There was a slime obstacle course too! Basically, the only thing you can’t do is eat the slime.

There’s a silly story about how they came up with the name “SlooMoo.” You take the vowels in “slime” and change them to “oo”, so S-L-I-M-E becomes S-L-O-O-M-O-O. SlooMoo! We realized our family has a lot of vowels in our names, so our slime names were hilarious. Mine was Groooor. 😂 What would your slime name be? Tell me in the comments!

After SlooMoo, since we were in Chicago, we had to try deep dish pizza. It’s pretty much what it sounds like; pizza baked in a deep dish. But honestly? I didn’t think it tasted like regular pizza. It was okay, but it needed way more red sauce. The best part was our server. He was super nice and brought me a giant, gooey, warm chocolate chip cookie thing with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on top because it was my birthday! 🍪🍦 It was so big we all had to share. No way I could’ve eaten that thing by myself. It was HUGE!

A few days later, we went to this amazing water park in Illinois called Raging Waves. There was this enormous blue water slide called The Boomerang (duh duh daaaaaaa 🎵). It was the scariest slide in the whole park—and I was terrified. Like, almost-crying, heart-racing, thinking-about-running-away terrified. I waited in line for 45 minutes and almost walked all the way back down the stairs past like 100 people. But guess what? I didn’t! I was brave and went for it. 💪

I didn’t make a sound the whole time because my face was frozen in fear. The tube held four people, so Momma, Demory, and I rode together. First, we spiraled around, then dropped almost straight down into a giant funnel. Y’all… it was CRAZY. When I got off, I said, “I’m never doing that again!” But now… I kinda think it was fun. 😄

P.S. Mom screamed the entire time!
